Due to the front-wheel drive, the user can easily turn the power wheelchair, drive tight curves as well as effortlessly manage turning maneuvers in narrow corridors. With a standard width of 620 mm and a standard length of 1070 mm, the EJOY FD XXL also fits easily into elevators.

The EJOY FD XXL is designed for longer distances. The range is approx. 35 km. Depending on the motor, the power wheelchair with front-wheel drive reaches its destination at a speed of 6 km/h. The EJOY FD XXL reliably overcomes inclines of up to 6.5° and obstacles of up to 50 mm. The maximum load capacity of the power wheelchair is 250 kg.

Stability while driving & easy to use controls

The EJOY FD XXL power wheelchair with front-wheel drive, drive wheels with independent suspension and sprung chassis has a high level of stability and traction. The turning circle of this front-wheel drive power wheelchair is 1150 mm.

The pivot point of the front-wheel drive wheelchair is in front of the user’s pivot point. When turning, therefore, the swinging out of the rear must be taken into account, since the power wheelchair turns in an arc behind the user and is therefore less intuitive to drive than, for example, a rear-wheel drive wheelchair. This must be taken into account when choosing the type of drive for the power wheelchair.

The easy-to-use PG Drive VR-2 driving console is mounted on the right side of the EJOY FD XXL power wheelchair with front-wheel drive as standard. It is adjustable in length and can be swiveled down.

Numerous adjustment options & telescopic seat system

The sturdy steel frame of the EJOY FD XXL power wheelchair with front-wheel drive in combination with numerous adjustment options of the seat and back module ensures flexibly adjustable seating comfort. Back and seat angles can be individually adjusted on the EJOY FD XXL. The side sections are adjustable in height and width. Thanks to the telescopic seat system, the seat width can be freely selected between 580 and 680 mm. By adjusting the side sections, the effective seat width can be extended by a further 180 mm to 860 mm.

The legrests can be swung down for easy entry and exit. The footplates are angle-adjustable for stable positioning of the legs. A comfortable seat cushion provides maximum comfort even on longer trips with the power wheelchair. A lap belt as well as calf and heel straps provide the necessary stability.

A splash guard is installed on both sides of the power wheelchair to protect the user in wet conditions. The EJOY FD XXL complies with the traffic road regulations.
