Thanks to its maneuverability, the EJOY MD with center wheel drive is particularly suitable for users who live in urban areas and want to use their power wheelchair mainly indoors. Due to its high traction, the EJOY MD also masters inclines and declines equally perfectly. The five wheels – one of which is a spring-loaded support wheel at the rear – are in permanent contact with the ground.

The user’s center of gravity is located directly above the drive wheels, making the power wheelchair easy to steer and enabling the user to turn around his or her own axis without much effort. Turning maneuvers in narrow corridors can be performed effortlessly with the EJOY MD power wheelchair. With a standard width of 620 mm and a standard length of 1120 mm, this power wheelchair fits easily into elevators.

The EJOY MD is designed for longer distances. The range is about 35 km. Depending on the motor, the power wheelchair with center drive reaches its destination at a speed of 6 km/h or 10 km/h. The EJOY MD reliably overcomes slopes of up to 8° and obstacles of up to 50 mm. The maximum load capacity of the power wheelchair is 140 kg.

Great driving stability & small turning area

The EJOY MD power wheelchair with center drive, drive wheels with independent suspension and sprung chassis has a high level of stability and traction. The turning range of this power wheelchair with center drive is 1250 mm.

Since the turning range is almost evenly distributed between the front and rear areas, the turning circle of a mid-drive power wheelchair is the smallest compared to the other drive types. This enables easy maneuvering in tight spaces. At the same time, easy, intuitive driving with great driving stability is provided, as is safe driving behavior on inclines and declines. On a side slope such as a curb, the front caster wheels pull the power wheelchair downward, the rear wheels pull upward, and the power wheelchair remains track stable. However, overcoming obstacles can be disadvantageous because the front wheels usually have only medium edge climbing ability.

The easy-to-operate PG Drive VR-2 driving console is mounted on the right side of the EJOY MD power wheelchair with center drive as standard. It can be swiveled away and is adjustable in length.

Numerous adjustment options & telescopic seat system

The sturdy steel frame of the EJOY MD power wheelchair with center drive in combination with numerous adjustment options of the seat and back module ensures flexibly adjustable seating comfort. For example, you can individually adjust the back and seat angle on the EJOY MD. The side sections can be adjusted in height and width. Thanks to the telescopic seat system, the seat width can be freely selected between 420 and 520 mm. By adjusting the side sections, the effective seat width can be extended by a further 50 mm to 570 mm.

The leg supports can be swung out for easy entry and exit. The footplates are angle-adjustable for stable leg support. The comfortable seat cushion ensures maximum comfort even on longer trips with the power wheelchair. A pelvic belt and calf and heel straps provide the necessary stability.

The EJOY MD is equipped with a splash guard on the sides so that the user is protected when the road is wet. The lighting of the power wheelchair with center drive complies with the traffic road regulations.

The EJOY MD mid-drive power wheelchair has an attractive modern design. The white steel frame visually conveys a certain lightness. All other parts of the power wheelchair are kept in plain black.
